MPS1 is a rare genetic disease that progressively damages cells throughout the body.
Treatments now provide a chance for a better life - however, more funds for research are needed.

About Us

The MPS1 Research Foundation was founded in March, 2010 by Sarah and Greg Fletcher whose youngest son, Erik, was diagnosed with MPS1 in 2002.  We are a non-profit, public charity and all donations are fully tax-deductible. Sarah Fletcher

President & Director of the MPS Research Foundation

Sarah has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is a former California certified elementary school teacher and a member of the National MPS Society. During the past eight years she has organized and participated in successful fundraising events for MPS research. Sarah can be reached at sarah@helpmps1.org


Greg Fletcher

Vice-President & Director of the MPS Research Foundation

Greg has a Bachelor of Science from James Madison University and a MBA from the University of California, Irvine. He is a Special Investigator with the United States Department of State, Diplomatic Security Service. He is also currently a business faculty member with the University of Phoenix and a member of the National MPS Society. Greg can be reached at greg@helpmps1.org


Helen Hogle

Treasurer & Director of the MPS1 Research Foundation

Helen has a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a MBA from Pepperdine University. Mrs. Hogle is a Certified Public Accountant and the Chief Financial Officer of Onyx Power. Helen can be reached at helen@helpmps1.org
